Restaurant Rating System

For all my Theatre Reviews I use the following categories. Results are then tallied and averaged to come up with the final score.

Core Dining Experience

  • Food (5 stars possible): Evaluate the quality, taste, and presentation of the dishes. Consider freshness of ingredients, creativity in preparation, and overall flavor satisfaction.
  • Service (5 stars possible): Assess the attentiveness, knowledge, and friendliness of the wait staff. Consider efficiency, helpfulness, and overall contribution to your dining experience.
  • Ambiance (5 stars possible): Evaluate the atmosphere of the restaurant. Consider noise level, lighting, décor, music, and overall comfort level.
  • Value (5 stars possible): Consider the price of the meal relative to the quality and quantity of food, service level, and overall experience.
  • Presentation (5 stars possible): Evaluate how well the food and drinks are presented. Consider plating, garnishes, and overall visual appeal.

Restaurant Specific Categories

  • Drinks (5 stars possible): For restaurants with a strong focus on drinks (e.g., cocktail bars, wineries), consider the quality and variety of drink options, mixology skills (if applicable), and wine list curation (if applicable).
  • Creativity (5 stars possible): Consider the originality and uniqueness of the dishes and menu offerings.
